On Monday, April 8, the Moon will pass across the face of the Sun over the course of about two hours. As viewed from San Francisco, about 1/3 of the Sun will be blocked by the Moon at maximum eclipse (11:13 am). NEVER look directly at the Sun! SFSU Observatory student docents will provide special solar viewing equipment if skies are clear.
