Name of Event: Rainbow Caf: International Day of Trans Remembrance Day and AIDS Awareness Month Date: Wednesday, December 8, 2021 Time: 12:00pm 1:00pm PST Zoom/Event Information: RSVP for Zoom information: https://bit.ly/RainbowTrans DECI Area: LGBTQIA+ Student Life Event Description: The Rainbow Caf topic for December will be, International Day of Trans Remembrance Day and AIDS Awareness Month, we will host panel discussion with folks from SFSU and the UCSF Alliance Health Project on HIV treatment, Prep, and incorporate a focus on trans / gender nonbinary communities as we're wanting to honor both AIDS Awareness month and Trans Day/Month of Remembrance. The purpose of Rainbow Caf is to provide a safe, brave, inclusive, and welcoming environment for individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans/gender expansive, queer, intersex, asexual, or question their sexual orientation and/or gender identity by creating an intentional space in which their intersectional identities are affirmed, and they are offered non-judgement support, access to academic, personal, community, spiritual and health resources at San Francisco State University and in the San Francisco Bay area.
