Doela C. Wright, assistant professor of Africana Studies, celebrates the life, genius, humility and humanity of Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison. After watching the documentary, "Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am," Wright will facilitate a talkback discussion that will engage how and why Toni Morrison's life serves as a personal, professional, educational, social, spiritual and cultural example of how to authentically exist as an Africana human in a white supremacist, patriarchal, classist, sexist society.
