Narges Bajoghli, an assistant professor of Middle East studies at Johns Hopkins University, is an award-winning anthropologist, filmmaker and writer. Her research explores intersections of media, power and military in the Middle East; specifically, she focuses on regime cultural producers in Iran based on ethnographic research with Basij, Ansar-e Hezbollah and Revolutionary Guard media producers.
