As part of the second annual De Cecco Lecture Series, Gregory M. Herek, a retired psychologist from UC Davis who has done seminal work on the concept of sexual prejudice (negative attitudes about LGBTQ people), will discuss his lifetime of work. An internationally recognized authority on sexual minority issues including stigma, prejudice and violence based on sexual orientation. he has published more than 100 scholarly papers and seven edited volumes on these and related topics.
