Opera: Johann Strauss' Die Fledermaus

SF State's opera and orchestra bring Strauss' masterpiece to the McKenna Theatre stage. Director Nikolas Nackley's hilarious rewriting of the script transports this Viennese comedy to the Castro of the early 1970s. A touch of leather and the choreography of Professor Ray Tadio add an extra thrill to the champagne-soaked second act masquerade party where everything goes awry!
