Concert: Kabul Dreams

Drawing inspiration from Oasis, Chevelle and other indie rock artists, Kabul Dreams is Afghanistan's first rock band. It has paved the way for a modest, but growing rock scene in the war-torn country. The band's motivation to perform came not only for its members' own love of music, but also a public hunger for a new life after war. This concert celebrates the establishment of a center for Iranian diasporic studies at SF State in the coming year, an initiative funded by alumna Neda Nobari (Bachelor of Science, '84).
