Description
Prerequisite: GE Area A2*. Introduction to the discipline of Asian American studies and the practice of interdisciplinary, social-justice based inquiry and research. Focus on the human behavior of Asian American leadership, visionary activism, activist movements, and activist-related knowledge paradigms. Emphasis on rhetorical strategies of communication for self-reflection, self-determination, and community empowerment, and for the development of social relationships.
Class Notes
- * Hybrid (Combination of in-person and online asynchronous) Classes -- Class meets regularly in-person at scheduled days/times and also has online sessions with no set day/time.
Enrollment Requirements
- Must have completed GE Area 1A/A2 or equivalent with a grade of C- or better to enroll in this course.
