Description
Prerequisite: Restricted to graduate Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences students or permission of the instructor. Engage in a critical exploration of issues related to speech, language, and communication services for children from diverse backgrounds. Understand the equity issues impacting the referral, identification, and educational placement of children from minority communities. Develop knowledge and skills for the provision of effective, evidence-based, and culturally and linguistically responsive assessment and intervention services. (Plus-minus letter grade only) [CSL may be available]
