Description

Prerequisites: Category I or II QR/Math placement; or Category III or IV QR/Math placement and MATH 197 with a grade of C or better; or GE Area B4 (may be taken concurrently). Principles of general and organic chemistry and biochemistry. Suitable for Pre-Nursing, Exercise Science, and Health Science majors. Not preparation for CHEM 115.

Class Notes

  • * Chem 101 is a suitable course for pre-nursing and other allied health majors and for exercise movement majors. Chem 101 is not a suitable course as a preparation course for Chem 115. All students interested in taking a prep course for Chem 115 should enroll in Chem 100.
  • * This course may satisfy General Education (GE) for students who are following the GE program in effect prior to Fall 2014. See http://ugs.sfsu.edu/GraduationRequirements.
