Description

Prerequisites: Restricted to upper-division standing; GE Areas A1*, A2*, A3*, and B4* all with grades of C- or better; or permission of the instructor. Interdisciplinary examination of the experience of queers of color in the U.S. through anthropology, sociology, history, literature, and cultural studies. Specific focus on racism, homophobia, transphobia, and intersectionality. (This course is offered as RRS 380 and SXS 380. Students may not repeat the course under an alternate prefix.)

Enrollment Requirements

  • Must have an upper-division standing and have completed GE Areas 1A/A2, 1B/A3, 1C/A1, and 2/B4, all with grades of C- or better, to enroll in this course.
