Prerequisite: Upper division standing or consent of instructor. Historical and contemporary imaging of Arab people in their mainstream American media and its effects on Arab American communities and individuals. A look at stereotypes and negative Arab images in American film, television, literature, and journalism. [Formerly ETHS 430]

  • Must have completed GE Areas 1A/A2, 1B/A3, 1C/A1, and 2/B4, all with grades of C- or better, to enroll in this course.
