Learn about the metaphors we use to talk and think about cancer. This talk, presented by expert metaphor researcher Oana David, from UC Merced, will focus on how cognition and grammar come together to shape our understanding of cancer as both a war and journey. We'll learn about how each model constructs the role of patient, practitioner and caregiver differently.
