The Art Gallery is teaming up with Project Rebound to celebrate its 50th anniversary next week with a pop-up exhibition at the Gallery titled "Expressions of Liberation". Project Rebound was founded in 1967 as an effort to assist formerly incarcerated individuals wanting to enter SFSU. Project Rebound provides a concrete alternative to the "revolving door" policy that the criminal justice system often times encourages. To this day, Project Rebound is still one of the few of its kind, consistently keeps a high success rate, and is a living testament of the struggle to demand and pursue social justice in the Bay Area. Join us for the opening reception for "Expressions of Liberation here at the Gallery on Tuesday, September 26, 5pm-7pm. Complimentary food and drinks will be served. The exhibition will run from September 26 to September 29.
