This talk will review the science of ocean acidification, how it is impacting the California Coast and how West Coast states have shown leadership in addressing this problem. Tessa Hill is an associate professor and chancellor's fellow at University of California, Davis. She is resident at UC Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory. President Obama gave Hill a 2016 - 2017 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
