An alliance of campus organizations is sponsoring a Know Your Rights Fair to gather nonprofit human rights groups and student groups to inform our students, faculty, staff and the public about potential threats to their rights and physical safety given the new, hostile political climate. Our students are very concerned about the political and social impact of rhetoric and laws that target undocumented and documented immigrants and their families, LGBTQ/gender non-conforming persons, Arabs and Muslims, communities of color, women and and other targeted communities. An information fair will be ongoing in Jack Adams Hall, while panel presentations and workshops will take place at various points in the afternoon. This free event is presented by the Cesar Cahvez Institute, Dream Resource Center, Muslim Student Association, General Union of Palestinian Students, Ethnic Studies Student Organization, College of Ethnic Studies, Associated Students and California Faculty Association - San Francisco Chapter. R.S.V.P. is requested for two of the workshops, at the website above.
