Dina Elenbogen, author of Drawn From Water: An American Poet, An Ethiopian Family, An Israeli Story” (BkMk Press, University of Missouri, Kansas City, 2015), discusses her 30-year relationship with the Ethiopian community in Israel with a focus on two children she befriended and watched grow up during her return trips. She uses her poetic voice to examine immigration and its successes, failures, adaptations and resistance.
