The Best of Polish Cinema: Jerzy Kawalerowicz's 'Mother Joan of the Angels'

When a priest goes to a small parish in the countryside that is under demonic possession, he finds temptations waiting. 1961. The School of Cinema opens its The Best of Polish Cinema course to the public on Wednesday evenings this fall. The screenings proceed chronologically from the 1950s to present, showcasing the most memorable works of the greatest Polish directors. All films will be shown with English subtitles. Featured as Cinema 401, the course is taught by Professor Steven Kovacs with graduate student Katarzyna Rogawska.
