SF State Associate Professor Katynka Martinez will discuss the role of newspaper and television media during the UFW strikes and within East Los Angeles Chicana/Chicano student organizing in the late 1960s. The political cartoons in Latina/Latino newspapers of the 1960s will be highlighted.
